Abstract

 

The logic empirical theory abandons the metaphysical learning of tradition. The Youth League accepted it, but on this basis, a new metaphysical system was established. The metaphysical study of the Youth League includes four concepts: reason, atmosphere, Taoism and greatness, respectively, which are described and promoted by four sets of topics. These topics are logically analyzed and are almost unresolved in experience. The author has made some modifications to the metaphysical learning of Youyoulan, so that it can more clearly realize the metaphysical “linguistic transformation”. On this basis, it is noted that logical empirical rejection of all metaphysics is unrealistic, and Hong Zu’s criticism of the metaphysics of the Friends is undesirable.

 

The metaphysics and logical theory of Rongyoulan are closely related to analytical philosophy. It can be said that the former belongs to China’s analytical philosophy, and the latter belongs to Eastern analytical philosophy. Both attempt to reform or rebuild philosophy through logical analysis. However, the two are very different and even in common with philosophy, especially metaphysical definitions and treatment methods. A famous verbal vocabulary in the logic theory is “rejecting metaphysics”, and one of the goals of the Youth League is to reconstruct metaphysics. Who is right and wrong, and who is better and who is inferior? This is the problem that this article will explore.

 

1. Metaphysical study of language analysis of Rongyoulan

 

Rongyoulan (1895-1990) established his philosophical system “New Science” in the 1930s and 40s of the 20th century. “New Science” consists of six books, and is collectively called “Jinyuan Six Books”, which includes “New Science” (19Baobao Website39 years), “New Affairs” (1940), “New Century” (1940), “New Origin Man” (1943), “New Origin Dao” (1945) and “New Knowledge and Words” (1946). Richyoulan clearly declared that his “new theory” was influenced by the logical empirical theory (Vienna school), and was established on the basis of its criticism of traditional metaphysical science. Here, the Rongyoulan area divides bad metaphysics and harmonious metaphysics. Traditional metaphysics belong to bad, and the metaphysics of “new theory” belong to good or real metaphysics; because the metaphysical propositions of “new theory” are not comprehensive, but analytical and “not practical”. The metaphysical learning of the Youth League includes four concepts, namely theory, atmosphere, Taoism and greatness, which are respectively promoted and described by the four groups of topics.
